Optiver

OVERVIEW:

Optiver is one of the world’s oldest trading firms and a global market maker found in Amsterdam in 1986. Their new Chicago office, which spans two floors of the Prudential Building, needed an extra boost that reflected the high energy and constant movement of their trade, while maintaining an authentic and collaborative atmosphere that fostered the idea that “we do our best work together.” The final installations showcase artful NASDAQ graphs from monumental years integrated seamlessly into the architecture, vintage trading jackets to showcase their history and roots, custom analog clocks to reflect Optiver’s global presence, and “Opticode” distraction banding and stair nosing to utilize brand elements cleverly across the space. Signage was designed to be youthful and have a similar translucency to the warmly illuminated interiors and installations. The final result was a lively and dynamic space that paid respect to their past while reflecting their steady march into the future.
